DIY: Thanksgiving Napkin Rings

Posted by FlyAway BlueJay on

The season is upon us for family and friends to fill your home. If you're in charge of the big dinner then you've probably thought about how you want to set the table. What festive decorations are you going to use? Gourds and pumpkins are always a sure bet, but what about dressing up the actual place settings? We came up with a classy solution to the old plain napkin rings. They also work for dinners besides the holiday get-togethers. Their rustic simplicity makes them perfect for styling the table, yet keeping it informal.

What you'll need:

Small sticks or twigs

Paper Towel Roll

Hot Glue

Twine

Step One: Cut the paper towel roll into 2 inch pieces.

Step Two: Cut twigs in varying lengths from 2" to 6."

Step Three: With hot glue attach the sticks to the pieces of paper towel roll. Continue until you've covered the entire roll.

Step four: Use twine to wrap around the napkin ring twice and then tie a bow.

Now invite over the whole family for a Thanksgiving treat!
